American Literature, Writing & History

This year-long course will provide a solid framework for reading, writing and history for your student in Grade 3-5. Throughout this course students will be expected to read 7 novels (parents can read along with their children) and will be expected to complete weekly literature and writing assignments. Students will be introduced to parts of speech, genres & paragraph construction, report writing, descriptive writing, narrative writing, summarizing, compare/contrast essay and a book reviews.

Besides offering a great introduction to these works and learning to use tools of literary analysis, this course ties into the student’s historical and worldview studies so that both are enhanced
